Reliant Worldwide Plastics named semi-finalist for prestigious international Crystal Cabin Award

Plano, Texas, January 23, 2017 - With its patented RELIANT-LITE® Thermoplastic Carbon Composite Tray Table Assembly Reliant Worldwide Plastics has developed an extremely strong, lightweight, all thermoplastic carbon composite alternative to the traditional tray tables currently offered on the market (U.S. Patent 9,394,052) that was named as a Semi-Finalist for the 2017 Crystal Cabin Awards.
Tackling the age old problems of delamination, warpage, and failure from abuse, the Reliant Tray Table design is more robust, yet lighter weight than traditional designs, subsequently eliminating the typical RMA’s seen today in the field by traditional tray table designs.
The Reliant-LITE® process and materials add extreme rigidity and strength and also have heat deflection characteristics that are tremendously beneficial to the tray table application. Through the use of Reliant’s patented FAR 25.853 and OSU 55/55 compliant thermoplastic carbon-fiber reinforced substructure that is integrated into a pre-colored, aesthetically pleasing textured shell that is lighter, yet stronger than current market offerings, Reliant has eliminated the aforementioned RMA’s.
