Reliant Worldwide Plastics chosen as the sole plastics manufacture for the world's fastest consumer drone

Plano, Texas, April 4th, 2017 – Teal, a disruptive consumer drone company, has chosen Reliant Worldwide Plastics as the sole manufacturer of its fully modular thermoplastic frame. Reliant Plastics and Teal Drones have been working together for the past year and a half designing multiple models and creating different manufacturing methods to find the perfect mix to create a personal drone line that will dominate the market. Traveling at speeds of up to 85 mph, the Teal Drone is not only the most agile and versatile drone on the market, it is also one of the most modular and expandable drones you have ever seen. With a built in NVIDIA TX1 supercomputer, which enables incredible possibilities with deep learning and AI, the Teal Drone can be used for a wide range of applications.

Teal comes with a built-in 4K camera, powered by Ambarella, to still be able to provide excellent photo and video taking abilities. The Teal drone also has an app platform that will have an open SDK architecture for app developers and other drone makers to adopt and begin creating their own apps, ranging from follow me type apps to racing, gaming, and more industrial applications like search and rescue.

“Consumer drone companies all seem to have their niche, focusing on a specific use case such as just being a flying camera. The Teal Drone was designed to enable many more incredible uses and be the drone for everyone,” says Teal CEO George Matus. Teal is small, modular, fast, sporty, smart, and expandable. “To be honest, there is really not much the Teal Drone can’t do. Reliant is excited to have been chosen for this opportunity and we look forward to seeing how the Teal Drone journey unfolds,” states Reliant CEO Craig Clark.
