Advanced Product Quality Planning

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is a set of procedures and techniques used to enhance product development.  Using APQP allows Reliant to better understand customer needs, provide proactive feedback and corrective actions, keep the design within process capabilities, analyze and mitigate failure modes, provide verification and validation process standards, aid the design review process, and control special or critical characteristics.

Reliant utilizes the FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis) procedure along with more than 50 years experience in our engineering and tooling departments to help our customers during the concept and design phases of the product management life cycle. The APQP process allows Reliant and our clients to do the up-front quality planning before the product ever goes to the production phase.  Your parts are going to be designed from concept forward to eliminate product waste and improve cosmetic and structural quality.

APQP helps us determine where the critical inspection points should be in the production of parts and what should be inserted into our production visual aids allowing us to customize any unique requirements that our clients may have.
