POSITION SUMMARY:  SolidWorks CAD Drafter/Designer

We are looking for an experienced SolidWorks CAD Drafter/Designer as part of the R&D/Product Development department to join our dynamic team in Gainesville and Plano, Texas. The candidate will be primarily responsible for producing engineering designs, drafting documents and drawings for plastic parts.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update existing part prints and work cooperatively on evolving projects with management and manufacturing personnel, etc., coordinate part prints with production.
  • Work with others as a team member and as an individual with limited supervision, on numerous projects.
  • Maintain part drawing database.
  • Integrate part drawings with product schematics, create new and update existing operating instructions.
  • Review/check design work produced by co-workers, subcontractors and clients.
  • Understanding and willingness to become proficient at material selection and effects of the manufacturing processes.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of thermoplastic part design
  • Knowledge of injection mold tool design and tool construction techniques
  • Knowledge of thermoplastic materials, thermoplastic composites, thermoplastic injection molding, Mold Flow Analysis, FEA, materials testing, fixture design and AS9100
  • Prefer experience with plastic part design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5000 hours SolidWorks experience required
  • Proficient with SolidWorks 2014
  • Must be able to create complex surface and wireframe 3D models utilizing limited information
  • Must be able to utilize translated files created in CATIA, CadKey, SolidEdge, etc.
  • Knowledge of injection mold tool design and tool construction techniques is a plus/benefit
  • Prefer experience with plastic part design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

POSITION SUMMARYProcessor - Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Processor to join our dynamic team for second shift (3:00 – 11:30)

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Start machines using process guidelines.
  • Trouble shoot runs and implement changes in the process to correct issues.
  • Ensure all machines operate at maximum capability with minimum scrap.
  • Notify mold changers, when job is complete, to change the mold.
  • Ensure manufacturing process is being implemented correctly.
  • Ensure injection molding machines are running quality product.
  • Take any additional tasks assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years process experience.
  • Very proficient with injection molding process.
  • Very proficient with the functions and capabilities of injection molding machinery.
  • Familiar with the characteristics of most engineer grade materials.
  • Be an excellent communicator.
  • Ability to implement lean processes.
  • Be a good team player.
  • Some basic knowledge of spreadsheets and word documents.
